Hand Rejuvenation with Radiesse

Don't let your hands give away your age!

One of the most overlooked areas where cosmetics can help to keep you looking younger — is the hands! While many of us focus on our daily regimens for face, neck and decolletage, our hands may be giving use away. But there is real anti-aging help available for hands.

These before and after photos are from the Radiesse website.

Radiesse, the dermal filler long used for recreating lost volume in the face and cheeks, is also FDA-approved for use in hand rejuvenation. As we age, our hands become deflated and veins and bones can become more prominent. Radiesse restores volume to the hands while providing smooth, natural-looking results that can be seen immediately and can last up to 1 year. (See important safety information here.)

Concerned about your hands? Call for a consultation with Dr. Hamori to see if Radiesse could be a solution for you. Call 781-934-2200.

Radiesse Lift Restores "Apples of the Cheeks"

Over the past several weeks I have seen a significant increase in patients requesting "cheek lifts" or "Radiesse lifts." This non-surgical, mid-facelift really helps smooth out folds around the nose as well as recreate the "apples of the cheeks" that so many patients loose in their 30's and 40's.

The Radiesse lift is virtually painless. I perform a nerve block to the cheeks and apply topical to numb the skin from the outside. Usually two syringes of the product are required to fill up the cheeks. Bruising is very rare and I just love what patients say when they see themselves in the mirror after the 10 minute procedure. "Wow! That is what I used to look like." It is like a face lift in a syringe. If you would like to learn more about how to achieve such a cheek lift, please call my Duxbury, Massachusetts medical office. See contact info here.

Restylane lasts longer and longer

Exciting news in the WSJ today....Restylane, a hyaluronic acid soft tissue filler FDA approved for wrinkle correction of naso labial folds was found in a small study, 11 patients, to increase collagen production! I have noticed that in some patients Restylane has lasted longer and longer with each treatment. It will be interesting to see if Juvederm, Allergan's new hylanuronic filler, will do the same.

My patients love the quick results with fillers such as Restylane and Juvederm, especially when they are combined with Botox. I have noticed less and less requests for mini-facelifts and more and more for fillers. Radiesse another newly approved filler lasts a bit longer than the hyaluronic acids and is quite popular in the lower face. It will be interesting to see if it too, like Restylane, helps build up collagen lost due to aging and UV damage.
