In case you missed it, we are highlighting our new gentle laser treatment, CoolPeel, that was featured in the Autumn issue of South Shore Magazine. Dr. Hamori is the first to offer this laser treatment on Boston's South Shore.

What is CoolPeel?
CoolPeel is a CO2 laser — the gold standard in treating sunspots, fine lines, wrinkles, acne scarring and the like. It is delivered by the SmartXide Tetra Fractional CO2 Laser from DEKA.

What makes CoolPeel different?
Traditional laser treatments are effective but can be accompanied by considerable downtime and risk while the skin heals. The Tetra CO2 laser provides more control and versatility making it the most advanced CO2 available.

What types of skin complaints can it treat?
Tetra fractional laser treatments can be customized and optimized for individual skin types. Dr. Hamori is most excited about the CoolPeel feature that safely and comfortably delivers visible results with minimal downtime. And it can be combined with the popular Vivace microneedling treatment to resurface and tighten the skin — a perfect solution for the dreaded "chicken neck."

How long do treatments take?
CoolPeel treatments take only 10 to 20 minutes with very minimal discomfort — you may feel mild needling feeling. The treatment will instantly leave your skin smoother and refreshed. Your skin will be pink (like a mild sunburn) for a day or two, requiring a moisturizer. Depending on the level of sun damage, flaking may be expected for a few days.

When do I see results?
Within the first week, collagen production is stimulated, dramatic skin surfacing has begun and younger looking skin will continue to reveal itself.

CoolSculpting Receives FDA Clearance for Double Chin

Just before the holidays, Allergan announced that the CoolSculpting® treatment had become the first and only non-surgical fat reduction technology to be FDA-cleared for improved appearance of lax tissue in conjunction with submental fat, or "double chin."

CoolSculpting for double chin is already clinically proven to reduce fat up to 20 percent in the treated area after one treatment. An 18-week clinical study of CoolSculpting in submental fat treatment found that 77 percent of patients showed improved appearance of lax tissue and 75 percent of patients reported their chin looked more toned following treatment.1

Dr. Hamori has been offering CoolSculpting treatments in the Skin Spa since 2011, when she was the first to bring this great new technology to Boston’s South Shore. Kybella Eliminates Double Chin Without Surgery
