Cosmetic GYN: Labiaplasty and Beyond

Dr. Hamori presents tomorrow in Chicago at the QMP Aesthetic Surgery Symposium, endorsed by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), on the topic of Cosmetic GYN and Labiaplasty. She will present "Female Genital Surgery with Video" to her peers and be part of a Q&A panel on patient safety.

Dr. Hamori has become a "go-to resource" on the cosmetic surgery circuit for techniques to enhance the vaginal area. She has been speaking and presenting on this topic for some time now most recently at the the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) annual meeting in Denver, where she informed other plastic surgeons and industry insiders on surgical techniques for vaginal rejuvenation including labioplasty, fat grafting to inflate the labia, and labial puff treatment using cosmetic injectables to renew a drooping labia majora.

Dr. Hamori also recently had an article published by the Aesthetic Surgery Journal titled Aesthetic Outcomes of Labialplasty available on the SAGE Insight website. She was featured on The Doctors television show on the topic in February.

This summer the FDA updated its information resources related to breast implants. As the FDA writes, "Breast implants are medical devices that are implanted under the breast tissue or under the chest muscle to increase breast size (augmentation) or to rebuild breast tissue after mastectomy or other damage to the breast (reconstruction). They are also used in revision surgeries, which correct or improve the result of an original surgery."

The FDA pages on breast implants are a good resource for unbiased information and worth review for anyone who is considering breast implants or has had implant surgery.
